Hi,

Further to our email of 18 July 02, we would like to give you some additional information concerning changes to the e-logbooks website.

Re-launch
During the next quarter, e-logbooks Partners will be re-launching the e-logbooks.co.uk website. What this means for you as a user is a fresh, re-designed web interface, additional features and improvements to the way the site operates.

New services
A range of novel and updated features will become available to all members as part of our re-launch event.

The site will offer new ways to contact other members and allow you to set reminders for your license renewals. We will provide internationalisation options for our logbooks, and we have also upgraded the logbooks summary statistics reporting.

A completely re-vamped set of tools for syndicates and flying schools will allow administrators to co-ordinate their aircraft and flying activities, as well as monitoring group activities and notifying members of important aircraft or airfield events.

We will also be taking this opportunity to review and tidy up our inactive aircraft groups.

Membership
In order to provide a suitable level of support and development for the new site, we have found it necessary to introduce charges for certain services. These charges will be modest, and please note that costs will be incurred on a per use basis only - there will be no subscription fees. e-logbooks members will be able to purchase credits for making micro-payments on the site. Use of this internal e-logbooks currency will provide members with uniquely flexible options, such as receiving rebates for cancelled flight bookings, and the ability to transfer credits between members. Flying schools will be able to use the credits system to offer incentives to their existing and new students.

There will also be exciting offers and bonus credits for members to earn from time to time as the site develops further.

We recognise the significant support and assistance that the existing e-logbooks registered users have provided us over the past 2 years, and this will be reflected in our loyalty bonus. At re-launch, all existing registered users will be transferred to the new service, and will be given free credits of a value equivalent to their last 3 months' activities. No registered member will be omitted from the loyalty scheme, as we will be giving a minimum amount of credit that even light users will receive.

In addition to the re-launch credits, members will be able to earn extra free credits by signing up new members.

We hope that you'll bear with us during this period of change, and help us develop the premier web service for pilots. As ever, we are always delighted to hear your comments and suggestions, and thank you for your continuing support.
