10 May 2004  Are you a telemarketeer?
(Recruiting) Our sister site, Flights4All, needs your help to establish and build on relationships with flying schools. If you are organised and love to talk flying - see here.

18 April 2004  Make money with your website
(Affiliate scheme) Why not register your website as an affiliate on our sister site, Flights4All, and make money from any sales you bring us?

26 November 2003  Aerial experiences for sale on-line
(Announcement) Most of us got into aviation after taking a trial lesson. E-logbooks is proud to announce Flights4All - your chance to get somebody else flying, anywhere in the UK, by buying them the ideal Christmas present.

05 November 2003  Fame at last!!
(New features) Alert UK pilots may have noticed a rather pretty aircraft on the cover of the Oct. issue of Flyer Magazine. G-GYAT is partially owned by Steve R, the e-logbooks techie. If you have any news snippets for us, please drop us a line for possible inclusion.

03 September 2003  Entering decimals
(New features) Pilots who prefer to view their logbooks in decimals can now enter times in decimals as well. A thirty-six minute flight used to be added as 0:36, it can now be added as 0.6 (see help icon on the page for more details).

29 July 2003  Instructor bookings
(New features) You can now display aircraft booking sheets as a daily or monthly view, and you can associate an instructor with each booking if you so wish. Instructors can be notified of new bookings (or cancellations) by text message too.

28 July 2003  Better Group Admin - now with INSTRUCTORS!
(New features) Group administrator functions are now split into general admin, membership and asset management sections. As well as inviting e-logbooks members to join your group, you can also promote group members to become instructors dedicated to your group.

24 May 2003  Weather forecasting, and TAFs, METARs and NOTAM
(New features) Our new weather service offers aviation specific forecasts, including three day planning forecasts - also direct links to TAFs METARs and NOTAM

16 March 2003  Currency display and relevant entries
(New features) Pilots: Currency display. Our users who prefer to be private told us of problems seeing their own currency: Groups: Day views of aircraft/instructors now popup a list of all relevant log entries for that day.- a handy cross reference.

13 February 2003  Groovy graphs, easier logging, flexible views
(New features) Logging a new field used to require TWO accesses of the full entry screen - now it needs only one, a side-effect prompted us to improve pilots' stats pages with some lovely pie graphs and lists. Also new: choose how many log entries on each page.

16 January 2003  Hope it doesn't happen to you..
(Warning) I shouldn't, but I do fly with my logbook. On 11 Jan I needed it with me to collect a signature for some training last year, and I took it to Le Touquet, and I lost it there. I'm so glad I've got a backup on e-logbooks……... Steve R (Tech Dev,e-logbooks)

21 October 2002  Balance displayed
(New feature) People told us that it was difficult to know how many credits they had left, so now your balance is displayed next to your name at the top left of the screen.

19 September 2002  Outage announcement
(and another..) Timings of the outage to the website, and further details about new services - read the mail here.

(New feature) After many comments, I've finally listened to advice and attempted to build a friendlier colour scheme.

01 June 2002  Log out link added
(New feature) Some people maintain several accounts (school owners, pilots with helicopter and fixed wing licences).
Now, when logged in, there is a link to log out and return you to the main index

05 November 2001  Mixed entries easier to view
(New feature) You could always view your logbook, click on an aircraft you've flown and see all flights you've made in that machine. NOW, there's a link on the resultant page so you can easily see who else has flown that aircraft (or that type, or with that captain).

21 September 2001  More flexibility in entering block times
(New feature) Some pilots log block times thus: 12:05-12:45 (5 mins increments), some do it like this: 12:06-12:48 (6 min incs), some thus: 12:37-12:47. Some prefer to type in the times rather than use drop downs. This is now a selectable option in your profile.

15 September 2001  Wrong data in confirmatory email
(Bug fixed) The mail sent when an aircraft is booked used to display the 'from' and 'from' times, rather than the 'from' and 'to' times.

14 September 2001  Notify people when aircraft booked
(New feature) An aircraft administrator can now choose to have a mail sent to all members, or just one or two, when the a/c is booked. The email is in the form of a printable sheet for the relevant day, so it provides a backup as well as simple notification.

13 August 2001  Delete aircraft booking improved
(New feature) It used to be possible to delete time-expired bookings. Now, a booking is only deletable up to the time the booking starts, no later.
